The Challenge

This artist had a simple idea: What if I had made one simple decision differently? But for a 3-minute music video, this is not a simple creative brief; movie devices such as narrative or flashback are unavailable.

The Solution

The entire story of the couple we cast to play the lovers is told in reverse. Everything goes back—literally, with the actors moving backward—from the agony of breakup to the single moment when the relationship began… and at which it will be erased from ever happening by the girl’s decision not to begin it. The filming presented difficulties, but the end product is simple and clear: Our destinies do hang on single moments.
