When you grow up in an English village, surrounded by sheep, the mind drifts.
To film-making, in my case.
Watching others watching screens, I soon realised that stories told with moving pictures have special powers.
And I wanted those special powers.
To use film to transport people.
To inspire and uplift.
To connect people … to things they care about and things they should care about.
So, I transported myself. Literally.
To Vancouver and to Los Angeles.
To film school, to production companies, to setting up my own production business.
To learn my craft, to assemble a crew, to begin a career.
I’m a convert to the power of shortform content. Surely, tears are shed in front of TV ads.
I’ve worked on post- production for HBO, with teams doing commercials for big names.
I’ve worked with musicians and brands to tell their stories.
My work’s been featured on MTV and on Grammies websites.
Now, I’m in Europe. With a mission to use film to communicate stories of good.
How good people turn their ambition into action.
How good brands can bring their values to life.
Filmmaking can be the force that brings good to the front. That motivates more.
Already, I’ve worked for WWF on Earth Hour, with Tony’s Chocolonely to explain anti-slavery actions, with sustainable jeans-maker Nudie Jeans, with a biotech on their battle against cancer.
I’m making the most of crossover genres and AI techniques and virtual teams pulled from pools of talent sat at desks in far-flung countries.
To sound a bell for businesses and brands with stories to tell.
To tug on a heart string.
